The steps to get North Carolina to endorse a Georgia Low Voltage License:
To obtain your North Carolina; Special Restricted - Low Voltage (SP-LV) electrical license by endorsement (based on the Georgia low voltage examination categories). You will need to mail the following to the State of North Carolina, State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors :
o Submit a completed Georgia

o Mail page 4 of the application
called the "Georgia Board Form" to the Georgia Construction Industry
Licensing Board, PO Box 13446, Macon, Georgia 31208 to be completed by them
and returned to you as part of the application you are submitting to the North
Carolina State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors.
o Submit statements from two responsible persons attesting to each
qualifying agent's (applicant) good moral character (included in application
packet page 5 and 6).
o Submit a check or money order in the amount of $60.00
made payable to: North Carolina State Board of Examiners of Electrical
Contractors for the annual license fee.
o If you have a corporation or
limited liability company you must be registered with the North Carolina
Secretary of State before the board will issue a license. You can register at:
www.ncbeec.org Each corporation or limited
liability company must obtain a Certificate of Authority from the North
Carolina Secretary of State, call (919) 807-2225 for more information.
o Mail
all of the required information to: The State Board of Examiners
of Electrical Contractors, P.O. Box 18727, Raleigh, NC 27619.
*Make copies of
all documents and request signed verification of receipt of documents*
NOTE: Licensed North Carolina low voltage contractors (SP-LV classification) are required to complete at least four (4) hours of approved continuing education every (1) year for license renewal.
